The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227 fdw is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint when networked wired or wirelessly. There is no need for HP sourced software or drivers.
With your device powered and networked, visit System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners. Right-click on your HP icon and select Reset printing system…. This will start the process of removing and re-adding your MFP, and instead of selecting HP driver information, you should see AirPrint offered. Select AirPrint and re-add the MFP. It should now print, and other functionality for it should be accessible on the Printers & Scanners panel, or within the Options panel.

Contact HP support. They are responsible for their own software. Have you visited 123.hp.com and entered your device model info to see if there are updates issued by HP since Nov 2020 for your device when you have selected macOS 11 in operating systems?
We might be able to help somewhat if you didn't keep the device model number anonymous.
123.hp.com was unfortunately not helpful. Their opening page when I accessed it said they "no longer support this operating system." The virtual agent on their hp support page refers only to problems in updating to macOS Catalina. It might be out of date.
Thank you so much for answering so quickly! My model number is LaserJet Pro MFP M227 fdw
Thank you! I especially appreciated the quick turnaround time!
