I got this error on my Mac Mini with Big Sur 11.1 today when I plugged in my iPhone 12 Mini (tried two different cables) in Image Capture:
could not open a connection to the device module
What is the solution to this? Thanks!

Update. Image Capture will now download pictures. LrC sees them, but doesn't seem to be able to import them.

I have previously tried that and it did not change/solve anything.
No anti-virus software. It used to work just fine - now I have that little lock symbol showing up.

I am so ******* tired of having to restart my M1 Mac mini every ******* time I want to pull photos off my phone using image capture. Why is this not fixed?

Upgraded to both LR 11 and Monterey (MacOS 12); still not fixed. And unfortunately the Airplane mode trick doesn't work for me. (M1 Mac Mini)
