I put a cover of Grip2u and now it won't charge wireless why?

Question: Does the iPhone charge wirelessly without the Grip2u case? If the answer is YES then it is clearly the case getting in the way of wireless charging. These cases come with a strap/band that could prevent the wireless charger from making proper contact.
