Apple logo flash at startup

New iPhone 12 Pro. At startup the Apple logo flashes super bright for a brief second then the screen goes dark for about 10 seconds before the Apple Logo re appears at normal brightness to finish the startup. I’ve had iPhones for years and never had the logo turn on and then off during startup. Is that Normal for the 12?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

I had the same issue. Exchanged the phones for more than 3 times in the Apple store, but all the new ones I received had the same issue.

Finally returned the phone and received full refund.

Found a small mobile store in my neighborhood and requested him to find a iPhone 12 Pro Max with a production date of November 2020 or earlier.

He made many calls to his suppliers from various part of the country and found a phone which was assembled in November 2020.

Now the phone I bought doesn’t have the issue.

Peace of mind at last.

Thanks to the small mobile shop friend.

All started in October 2020 (with extended return date due to year end festival offer) and ended well in February 2021. But lost lot of branded screen protectors and petrol for the trips.

Omg I am having the same issue..as of now and the glitching is very subtle I've only had my iphone 12 pro max for 3 days now but I feel like I should go in-store and see a tech representative. I was told it was a software issue and I hope they will be able to fix it, because it would suck to have to get a new phone have to do the start up process all over again..

I have this same problem. I got my blue iPhone 12 Pro Max two weeks ago. The symbol would flash quick and then turn on normal after 5 seconds. I had my phone replaced a week after I got it. Then after another week my new iPhone would do it too. I have a new iCloud account. I know with my old iPhone 10 max I had about 2 years ago did the exact same thing. I had it replaced and then the same thing started to happen with the new replacement phone I got. I also had a different iCloud account on that iPhone. Please help fix this asap

I have same issue. New iPhone12 Pro updated to iOS 14.4 during setup (unsure which version was on device initiailly). My phone flashes the Apple logo then is booted up and on home screen within 10 seconds. Phone seems to work fine except I have not been able to receive incoming calls with the new T-Mobile SIM card (works with older Sprint SIM). Can't see how these issues are related, though.

I just got the weirdest email from Apple. They removed my response. I posted that we’ve all been getting different responses from Apple. I suggested that you respond to apple.com/Feedback. They removed my post because I mentioned something about future versions that some of you have tried and fixed the problem.

Different stores and different support people say different things. If it were by design, all the phones would’ve had the same issues. Whatever the issue is I hope they address it. But the Apple representative I spoke to told me to send feedback directly to Apple. This is an owner support forum but they probably monitor it by keywords. Most people don’t live particularly close to Apple stores. And even if you do, the responses are Inconsistent and often unprofessional. We were told that it was OK because her boyfriends phone did that.

I simply repeated what I heard on this thread. They had already been posted. I had no problem with them taking it down. But it was odd because I seen the posts here. I don’t use those tests because I don’t feel confident enough if something went wrong. But others had run test conversions. That’s all I knew about. But my apologies if I violated TOS.

They're not.

You need to contact T-Mobile and either get a SIM that will work with your phone, or they need to enable that SIM, whichever is the issue.
