How can I remove the kernel extension AppleGFXHDA.kext ?

Hi there, this kext is still causing me trouble, and I have previously been able to work around it by unloading it every time I reboot the computer using:

sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGFXHDA.kext

However, now when I do that I get the message:

(kernel) Can't remove kext com.apple.driver.AppleGFXHDA; services failed to terminate - 0xe00002c7.
Failed to unload com.apple.driver.AppleGFXHDA - (iokit/common) unsupported function.

Is there a new solution( or is upgrading to Big Sur going to solve it?)
