Apple Watch is not allowed to unlock my Mac, solutions?

It worked earlier with current devices (Apple Watch 6 and Macbook Pro 2017)

When trying to enable it in the security settings, it states my Watch should be logged on to my Apple ID.

This never changed but tried an unpair-pair with my iPhone.

Also restarted my Watch and Macbook,

Made sure internet- and screen-sharing are off,

Checked system information Auto-unlock is supported.

Still when trying to enable it again I get:

Your Apple Watch must be signed in to iCloud to allow it to unlock your Mac.

You can sign in using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

Strange as it is signed in with the same Apple ID (only use one single Apple ID) as my Macbook, Any other idea anyone?

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reply. Just opened myMacbook today, put in the password and got a notification I could use my Watch for it.

Enabled it using the notification and now it works again.

Afaik no updates were installed, just gave it a 2 day's rest.... Maybe some kind of auto-repair, and me being a little impatient :)
