error 9039

I get error 9039 on my mac (MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) all the time - the only way to resolve is to quit Music and restart, but that's just a waste of time. I don't have the issue on all my computers, just the one...nor my other apple devices. What's the solution?

Hi there rfelton17!

From what we understand, you are getting an error while using the Music app on your MacBook Pro. We understand how confusing this can be and we'll be glad to give you some tips that can help.

To start, we see you've already done some great troubleshooting. Does this error occur when performing a specific function in Music? For example, searching or music or streaming a broadcast?

Let's have you test the issue in safe mode. To enter safe mode, follow these steps: Start up your Mac in safe mode

Do you still receive the error message? If not, restart your Mac normally and check for login items that may be causing the issue. For steps, look here: Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your Mac

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
