Exchange email sync Apple Mail issue

I am trying to get my Outlook to sync with my Apple email so that I don't need multiple apps etc for checking on my work email. However I cannot for the life of me get this to work. It worked fine the first day and then day 2 Icloud tells me "Unable to verify account name or password" and since then I cant get it to work again. I have tried changing the password on Exchange, deleting the account and starting over and nothing. Tried googling and found no solutions besides the above.


The outlook is managed by GoDaddy. It works on my Iphone 12. I cannot get it to work on my macbook pro late 2011 running Sierra 12.12.6

It appears that you're unable to use your email account on your MacBook Pro, as you keep seeing prompts that Mail was unable to verify the account name or password with the email service provider.


We can isolate to see if the issue is with your MacBook Pro or Mail app. To begin, we recommend creating a temporary new test user and try to sign in there and see what happens: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac
