thunderbolt 2 to vga

What adaptor can I use to hook up a vga monitor. It says the mini port fits but no it does not!

Recently bought a new, 2021 mac mini and trying to connect it with my old Apple Thunderbolt 1 display. Can't find any adaptors that say thunderbolt to HDMI or Thunderbolt/USB 4. I have a thunderbolt 2 adapter and need to connect it to a mini displayport but cannot find an adapter for it. Can anyone help_ Thanks Yes

A mini-DisplayPort to VGA adapter is what you need if your Mac has a TB2 port. If the mini-DisplayPort plug doesn’t fit, either the plug or the port is damaged.

Also, what model MacBook Pro 15-in by year, early mid late, and processor speed?
