FINAL CUT - Ken Burns on Cropped Video Clip

Hi gang,


When I edit a cropped video clip on Final Cut and then want to add the Ken Burns Effect it doesn't use the cropped but the original settings of the clip (so the whole frame). It's a hassle to then adjust the Ken Burns Effect to the exact crop of my video. Most of the time it's never the exact same size and it looks messy. Anyone knows how to apply Ken Burns to a cropped video clip and the video remaining in its cropped state?

Make the cropped video into a compound clip (option-G) and apply Ken Burns to the compound.
