The Apple TV HD and 4K models have an app store where you can download content, like Disney Plus. If it was an older model then it can't run apps, and only accepts pre-set 'channels that are sent via server. The workaround there would be to use your iPhone/iPad and use airplay so stream it to Apple TV.
