Changing Default file name Settings for scanning documents in notes on iOS

I use notes on iOS to scan documents. I scan all my prescription receipts. I save those receipts individually to iCloud. The default is to automatically destroy the previous scanned document that has been saved. I would like it to automatically save it with a new name. Instead of using the same name. It picks up the name from the text on the scanned document. It uses the first few words on the page. Every single prescription has the same first few words. So it always wants to destroy the previous saved prescription document. This defeats the idea of saving your receipts to the cloud. I am tired of clicking “keep both”. So far I have found scanning documents through notes to be the best way. Even given this hassle.

There are other apps but they are not easy to use for this simple purpose, and they are trying to sell memberships.

I just learned that the Files app has this functionality directly. But it uses different subroutines. It’s scans actual dimensions instead of turning every scan it into an 8.5 x 11 document. Also it does not pick up any words from the document. But at least it doesn’t overwrite the file by default. It also Makes a file 14 times the size. Documents scanned within notes and saved two files: 487 kB same documents scanned directly in files: 7 MB. Settings for scans or file names of the scans Are nonexistent in either app.

If using the files document scanning feature, Setting it for the worst quality , (only black and white not even grayscale barely legible), still creates a file three times the size of the good quality color scan from within the notes app. Why not use the better quality, existing subroutines, when adding a new feature to another app? Why create new subroutines that are crappy? Let’s spend more time to make something worse! (this must be the Apple mantra.)
