Updates to apple watch needed

The apple watch has had 6 series created and we still don't have an option to delete multiple text messages at one time. So my question is, when will there be an update to the software to allow us to delete multiple text messages at once? OR why does the text not delete from the watch when we delete it from the phone? One of these should have been available on the 1st series or at least been created by the 6th.
