HomePod lost

Reset everything and it worked for a day then for whatever reason it lost location again.

Have you enabled location in the home App Settings? It also needs to be enabled on the iOS device you used to set it up with. In settings- Your Name- Find My. See image below.

Bluetooth and Keychain needs to be on, on all devices associated with your iCloud account.
