iPad Mouse Cursor not disappearing automatically

I saw this issue posted before but I cant post a reply on it.

I am also experiencing the same problem with iPadOS 14.3. But after trial and error i think the bug is occurs when you use the assistive touch and mouse pointer simultaneously. When you use them at the same time the following happens:

1. The screen will not auto-lock

2. the mouse pointer will not auto-hide and

3. Even if you disconnect the bluetooth connection on your mouse, the mouse pointer will not disappear.

So if you decide to use both it will cause serious battery drainage because the ipad will literally not go to idle mode. This will happen regardless if you change the settings.

So after noticing it, I tried a work around which is to turn off the assistive touch altogether when I am no longer using the my mouse. yes you can use the mouse alone without the assistive touch but you lose the functionalities of the other buttons in your mouse. So it is not the ideal to use at all because you only have one button, just the left click.

So what I did, I created a shortcut to turn assistive touch on and off. Whenever i will use my mouse i will turn it on. And when i am no longer using my mouse i will turn it off then disconnect my mouse then turn it on again after i have disconnected the mouse to activate the assistive touch.

I hope this temporary fix helps. Or if you discovered a permanent solution it will be highly appreciated if you can share.
