IPhone reception issue

I have a newer iphone (XS) and am having significant issues when talking on the phone. My connection gets broken up nearly every 3 seconds despite having full service. There has been no damage to my phone yet I can't hear those on the other side of my calls. I've tried all of the tricks such as restarting phone, settings etc but nothing works. It seems quite unfair that I may need to buy a new phone despite my current one only being a year or two old. Any advice?

We understand you're experiencing an issue with the audio quality while on a call with your iPhone XS, and we'd like to see if we can assist.

If this happens with all sound on your iPhone, give the steps here a try: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

Alternatively, if this only happens while on calls, see if the issue happens with the receiver, speakerphone, or headphones.

Also, if your carrier supports it, see if the issue persists with VoLTE disabled: About the LTE options on your iPhone
