this may be a stupid question . if so i appologize . on my iphone xr when i go into the camera at the top there is a little arrow when it points up i only have the flash icon and the live icon .
when i point it down i have 5 icons . the flash , live,type of photo size, timer and olympic ring type symbol
all on the bottom above the white button to take a photo
when i watch videos of the camera icons these are on the top . did something change thank you

Hello. It depends on the model of iPhone. For Xr, Xs and later models you have the ^ icon which you press to reveal the extra row of icons, including the timer, as you describe.
For iPhone X and earlier models, the timer icon is already displayed without needing the extra step.
