iPhone dies too early

So, I have a brand new iPhone SE, and I’ve noticed that my phone cannot get to 1%. It either dies from 6%-8%, but yesterday, I was working on something, then my phone died at 16%! So I get my charger, and then I put it in charge, and the percentage says it’s at 10%! It’s a brand new phone, got it last month, and I don’t understand why it dies too early.

It is a very bad idea to intentionally let the state of charge go to zero. Doing so will significantly reduce the useful life of your battery. You should charge it when it goes below 20% if possible. There are functions that put a heavy demand on the battery (primarily phone calls and interactive video games) that can cause a temporary drop in battery voltage, which will make the state of charge drop suddenly.
