I found something new since 10/20 called ExpandedRotator 1.0 as the only application in a new Applications folder on my iMac. Searches say it's malware, but are 3 sites I don't know trying to sell me more software. What is good software to help here?

It does seem to be malware. You can download the free Malwarebytes for Mac and run it. If it is malware, it should take care of it.
