gmail added to IOS mail app does not refersh over wifi but only over mobile data

I wasnt not able to add my gmail account to the IOS mail app. I had it added to begin with but since my inbox was not refreshing over wifi but only over mobile data i thought of deleting and adding my account again.

while i tried to add my account i could not do it over wifi, i was only able to added it when i switched off the wifi and used mobile data, and now that the account is added i am back to the same problem where my inbox does not refresh over wifi.

Check your WiFi Router / Modem for --> Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points ...

Connecting to Wifi is the first part and then getting connected to the Internet is the second

  1. If you connect to a Wifi, doesn't necessarily mean you are connected to the internet. If you are not connected to wifi could be a problem of iPhone settings or Router/Modem Settings
  2. If you are not connected to the internet is the sole issue of Router / Modem Settings. Contact your ISP immediately
