HP Color Laserjet Printer and Macbook Air
When I print from any applications, there are no printing options displayed in the dialog., for example paper type, print quality, double sided printing, etc. etc. Not a problem for every day printing, but a nuisance if I want to make high quality prints.
In particular, when printing on glossy paper, the printer needs to be set up correctly, or it generates strange rub lines on the print.
After wasting a lot of expensive paper, I tried printing the same documents from my Windows box, which has been working as a paperweight on my desk for several years. I was able to select for glossy paper and high quality print, and everything is perfect.
Why does Big Sur not fully support my HP MFP M177 printer? It's certainly not obsolete, and there must be millions of them in use.
