I'm running a 2nd monitor further away in the room and I understand that I cannot run long usbc cables, so does anyone know if I can run a long hdmi cable 15-20 ft long with my mac mini M1? My #1 monitor will use a display port cable with a display port to usb c adapter thanks,

For that distance, an active HDMI cable is really what you would need,
especially if it is a 2K or 4K monitor and would likely benefit a 1080P
monitor as well..
They have integrated line driver amplifiers at the one end. The
only question would be is if the Mini HDMI connection can supply
the required power.
What monitor/display/tv do you have at that distance?
Like hcsitas say's, youy'll have to test different cables to figure out what works.
Personally I don't have a hi-res HDMI display to test, but my 32" Samsung TV works fine on a 25' HDMI cable.
You can give it a shot but beyond 3 feet, the odds against start stacking up exponentially. Be sure the cable comes with a no-questions return policy. Good luck.
TVs are more tolerant, the mini, not so much. Oops, did you mean your mini 18 is connected to it?
