IWatch users. I’m trying not to set up my S6.

On iPhone, while I was trying to pair with my new A Watch, it asked me to enter a 6 digit code that is displayed on the A Watch. However, on the A Watch, it only shows Apple Watch xxxxx (followed by 5 numerical). I tried to put a 0 in front of the 5 numerics and entered it that way. Then it went searching forever.

Anyone knows how to get around it to pair a new A Watch?

thx.

Start by tapping the "I" button on your Watch"bottom right corner", which will bring up your device's name. Then on your iPhone, tap the device name that matches the one displayed on your Apple Watch. You'll see a six-digit code will appear, which you'll enter on your iPhone.

Thx

problem is there is no 6 digit codes shown on the watch after the iPhone tells me to get that from the watch.

I called tech support and was told the iPhone to be paired with the Watch Series 6 has to be up graded to iOS of 14. or later. Mine is iPhone 6+ and iOS12.x is it’s highest it can go.

Meaning I ‘ll have to buy a new iPhone.

Seems weird and none of the consumers has been told of this on any of their Apple Watch commercials, I don’t think......
