Since iOS 14.4 update - unable to verify camera
My iPhone 12 Pro was purchased directly from Apple and has never been repaired. Why would I be receiving the message “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple camera?”

Well guys, I brought my camera in to the Apple store and had it fixed. They fixed it for free. It was a genuine apple camera, too. They said it probably came to me broken and the update just triggered the software to stop working properly when it found the problem. 🤷🏼♀️ Still kind of annoying with it being only 2 1/2 months old.

a quick update - i updated to 14.5 beta 2 and the problem still exists.

Same issue, brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max bought from Verizon at Christmas. My camera froze about a week ago and hasn’t been the same since, now I get the constant genuine Apple error.
The camera module can't be replaced. Apple replaces the entire device.
Well, I still have my same device and they replaced just my camera.
Must have been the exposed lens cover.
I don’t care what it was, my camera is fixed now so I’m happy.

yes, exactly what happened to me wayne! Except it took me two hours because they were awfully busy. Haha.
Is this also related to the video camera not having the normal 12 pro max zoom capability? Mine is only able to zoom to 3x whereas before it was twice that.
The camera allow up to 5X zoom.
