Mac book pro

After I changed the user admin setting of my Mac book pro, the spinning rainbow appeared on the pointer & it’s still spinning for almost 8 hours what should I do?

You can force a shut down holding the power button /Touch ID for ~6 sec. Reboot as normal and see where this leaves you..(?)


Did you create a backup as recommended in the warning:


Change the name of your macOS user account and home ...




Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support


You can restore from this backup if necessary— reference:

Restore your Mac from a backup
