MacBook Air i3 is acting up.

I have a MacBook Air i3, one day the fans went haywire and the apps started crashing. Fearing a virus, I reseted to macOS Catalina. Now the apps are crashing even after a reset. Chrome webpages, WhatsApp, Spotify and Finder. All these apps are having issues. I restart the system and the status bar takes forever to appear. What can I do?

Sounds like it may be an SMC issue.


Try resetting your SMC this:
