time machine icon is white
time machine cannot complete the back up and it stops, icon becomes white.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have all the details, but usually if the icon becomes greyed out, or looks different it’s still in the process of trying to backup, but that may not be the case, hope that article can help!
