Shuffle not working

Recently the shuffle feature from iTunes stopped working, wether it is the desktop or web version.

I've restarted my laptop but no changes, cleared my browser but same issue. I don't think this has to do with the software since the feature is not working on the web version neither.

Does anybody have a workaround for this or is the feature being disabled ? I've checked and the Genius Shuffle feature does work though.

How do you tell if Shuffle is on? Small but annoying bug I think: There's no way to tell if shuffle is on on my Music app (1.2.1.40). See the attached screenshots. In the first image, the songs are not shuffling. In the second, they are. But nothing looks different to indicate that. In the old iTunes, the Shuffle button would turn blue or something when it was on I believe. Am I missing something?

Shuffle doesn't work on Mac Shuffle button on Music on my Mac doesn't work. It looks like it activates, but it does not start a series of songs. I can only play individual songs from the Playlist. When playing the same Playlists on my iPhone or iPad, shuffle works grea.Suggestions??

New playlists created in iTunes or the Nano will not shuffle I have a PC running iTunes 12.12.2.2 syncing with a Nano 5th generation (A1320) and any new playlist I create in iTunes or on directly on the nano (software ver 1.0.2 which iTunes reports is the most recent) will not shuffle. I have tried creating playlists on the Nano using on the go playlist function (saving playlist when done) as well from within iTunes then syncing to the Nano. At the top of the playlist is the Shuffle button & when I use the click wheel to select shuffle, the first song plays and shows song 1 of 1. Previously created playlists start playing a random song showing 1 of x as appropriate for that playlist. Thank you for your help, tmfdia
