AHT for macbook air 2010?

I want to run Apple diagnostics on my 2010 MacBook Air.

MBA 2011 ( A1370 EMC 2471 Bios 135.0.0.0.0 SMC 1.74f4 )

boots to “internet recovery” with ethernet adapter plugged into

Thunderbolt port and AHT works fine.

MBA 2010 ( A1370 EMC 2393 Bios MBA 31.0061.B07 SMC 1.67f10 )

boots to “internet recovery” with ethernet adapter plugged into

Thunderbolt port. “Select Primary Language” ok,

Hardware Test returns message “Not compatible with this machine.”

MacBook Air firmware upgrade 2.3 has been applied (.B01 -> .B07).

How can I run Apple Hardware diagnostics on a 2010 (or earlier) MacBook Air?

Is it available on USB stick? Obviously, no CD/DVD drive on machine.

Hi Dabard51,

It looks like you are receiving a compatibility error when trying to run Apple Diagnostics on your MacBook Air 2010. Apple Diagnostics is a great feature that helps to identify hardware issues that are happening on your device. We're glad you reached out for help.

Do you receive the same error message when following the additional suggestions under "Learn More" on the resource below.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac

We hope this helps you out. Have a good day!
