Issues with handing off calls from iPhone to MacBook Pro

I've been having this issue since I updated to Big Sur on my MacBook Pro, where calls drop/end if I try to switch the audio of a phone call from my iPhone to my computer. Can anybody help me understand why this is happening? I already tried checking my phone and computer settings and I also restarted the wifi system--also regardless of what network I am on, this issue has been consistent and is a hassle , it seems you can no longer switch devices when having a conversation, prior to the update everything was seamless.

We understand from your post that when on a call you are unable to switch devices as the call will drop. First, make sure both devices meet the system requirements as stated in this article:

Make sure both your iPhone and your MacBook Pro are updated to their latest software versions.


Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


How to update the software on your Mac - Apple Support


Verify that both your iPhone and your MacBook Pro are signed in using the same Apple ID for iCloud.


If all of these steps have been completed and the issue persists, you may need to contact Apple Support for additional assistance.

Because of your response, I feel there are a few caveats that I need to clarify. I am not having issues with switching active conversations from my iPhone to other 'devices'; rather just issues with switching to my MacBook Pro after updating to Big Sur Version 11.2. When handing off to all other devices (homepod, homepod mini, ipad, etc.) I have no issues, just the issue of calls dropping when handed off to my MacBook Pro since updating to Big Sur.


If anyone can help me with that, I would appreciate the help - software being up to date on all devices is not an issue in this situation.
