Reminders application doesn't hide completed tasks on macOS and iPhone.

Those steps can be found under "Complete a reminder" here: Use Reminders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

It is turned off.
I figured out that sometimes it requires 1 click to hide a completed task, but sometimes it requires even 3 clicks.
This behavior is odd and confusing. Why does it require 3 clicks to eliminate the completed task? Is there a way to fix it?
