Accidentally mixed AirPods with a friend, how can I tell which is mine?

i and my friend have our airpods but now they’re mixed together. Could you please tell me how could i match them correctly in the case

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are trying to differentiate between your AirPods and your friend's AirPods.
Your AirPods and case share a serial number. You can find the case serial number on the underside of the lid. Then, if you or your friend have iOS 13 or earlier, you can find your AirPods serial number that is currently paired from Settings > General > About. Check out Find the serial number of your AirPods.
The second footnote has this info: "With AirPods (2nd generation) and AirPods Pro, each AirPod also has its own serial number, printed on the AirPod itself."
You can also play a sound on one set of AirPods by going to the iCloud website and signing in with your Apple ID, as shown in the article viewed earlier: How to find your lost AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max
