Trade-in iPad mini 3

I am trying to trade in my iPad mini 3, does a scratch (NOT a dent, chip or crack) on the screen count as exterior cosmetic damage?

If shipping your iPad to Apple for trade-in, your iPad will be inspected and evaluated upon receipt. If the declared condition of the device differs from that declared on-line, it may reduce or even eliminate any trade-in value.

Screen damage often significantly impacts trade-in value.

If you are unsure, have concerns, or simply wish to eliminate any uncertainty, you best course of action is to visit an Apple Store and process the trade-in there. Your iPad will be assessed - and a value offered; you can then either accept the offer, or leave with your iPad in your possession. If you accept the offer, you will have the choice of using the value directly against an immediate purchase of a device of your choice - or take the trade-in value as a gift card to be used against a future purchase.
