Siri Won't Control or Will Control Wrong Apple TV

Siri won't control the correct tv when asked to go back x number of minutes or pause or fast forward or anything. It doesn't matter if I use my phone (correct apple tv chosen on the remote app), my watch or

my homepod.

When I'm in my exercise room and watching my Apple TV and say "Hey Siri, Go back 3 minutes", the Apple TV that my wife is watching on the other end of the house will go back 3 minutes. Even if I use remote control... does the same thing.

What gives?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. As we understand, Siri is not controlling the correct Apple TV from the Remote app.

Although it sounds like you have made sure you are paired with the correct device, we'd advise unpairing and re-paring the Apple TV devices to the app: Set up the Apple TV Remote on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Restarting the Apple TVs may help as well. Restart Apple TV

This happens when I use the Apple remote or my Apple Watch or my HomePod or my iPhone. If in my exercise room and tell my HomePod (which is NOT playing any music or anything) to fast forward the TV that is playing in my exercise room, Siri instead will fast forward the music playing on the homepod in my wife's home office or will fast forward the what is playing on the TV in the living room or the TV in my kid's room.

I would think if I said "Hey Siri, fast forward TV 3 minutes" it would default to the TV that's in the same room as the HomePod I'm speaking to.
