I found this and it’s working!

How to get shared Google Calendars to show up on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

  1. Launch Safari or any other web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Go to calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect.
  3. Sign in if you aren't already.
  4. Under Shared Calendars, tick the boxes for the calendars you want to see on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

sounds like you weren’t logged into your Google. I’ve also attached a picture of calendar settings

under my iPhone settings:

settings/calendar/accounts/iCloud

I have the calendar option off

i only use my google calendar

when I made that change I mention at the beginning of this thread it worked. I know have all calendars being shared to my google are now in my Apple Calendar. I will also attach my Apple Calendar screenshot.

Hi, Hampton7c. I've also been trying to get my Google calendar to work on my Apple Watch. But when I go to calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect, while under "My Calendars" it does show my email address (which is checked), under "Shared Calendars" it only shows "Contacts" and "Holidays," which when I ticked those boxes and clicked Save, my calendar didn't show up on the Watch. My actual calendar (i.e. things like Calendar, Home, Work) doesn't show up under "Shared Calendars." How do get it to do that in the first place? Thanks for any help.

Sorry it took me so long to respond, Hampton7c. Even with your good advice I was unable to get it work until I called Apple support again and this time got someone very knowledgeable. It turned out to be a combination of things, one being that, since I'm paired in Family Setup mode, I was using the wrong Apple ID to try to communicate the calendar (the iPhone uses one ID, the Watch another). They also convinced me to switch from Google Calendar to iCloud calendar, and in fact that did make it easier. I had switched to Google Calendar because I like using the Google App better than iCloud.com, but I can live with it if it means getting events to work on my watch. At any rate, thanks for your help.

I’m glad to hear it’s working for you... I like both calendars and have switched multiple times lol. It seems like I have finally found a “system” in place. My issue was being able to have myself, my wife, and my son all sharing calendars. I have successfully done it, everyone color coded and have all calendars shared to a digital calendar hanging in the kitchen.

Just curious: Since it involves your wife and son, are any of your watch(es) set up in Family Setup mode? Mine is, and that adds a whole level of complexity and problems (if you're interested, see my post titled "Can't set up apps to work on Apple Watch in Family Setup mode" which is already buried 9 pages down or more). If you have any experience using an Apple Watch in that mode I'd love to hear it.
