My FaceTime won’t minimize

This started the day before I updated to 1.14.4, and I haven’t done anything to my phone to make Picture in Picture stop working. I have it turned on, but whenever I would swipe up, it wouldn’t minimize. It would just display a paused screen to the other recipient and displayed that FaceTime was running in the background with a green bubble around my time as well as an orange circle above the amount of bars I have to display my camera was not being used. I am unclear why this happens, and when I go to reset my phone. Picture in Picture would work but only for a few hours before unfortunately failing to work. If you have any insight on how to fix this issue or bug with PIP (Picture in Picture) it would be much appreciated as it is one of the best features Apple.inc has incorporated into their devices (pun intended). Again any help with this issue is much appreciated. I provided a picture of me in FaceTime and showing PIP is on but no tab or anything is on the side nor is my camera off. Also let me know if this is happening with other devices as well and not just my XS Max.
