Hi There,
Every morning when I open my MacBook lid, it crashes, and I have to restart the computer. The process that causes the issue is CVMServer. I saw on other forums that others experience the same issue.
I have downloaded EtreCheck, but it gave no definitive answer to this problem. I have attached the crash report below.
Does anyone know what might cause the issue?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi There,
I always have the latest macOS installed and also turned off the screen saver. That's what everyone is recommending on the forums, but it didn't fix the issue. The other day, I had 2 crashes in one hour, I haven't even closed the lid just left my Mac on my desk. I have also sent all my crash reports to Apple so they may aware of the situation but it seems it may be a wider issue.
My M1 Mac mini crashed over 22 times since I got it. It's only a month old. Most of them were CVM Server Crash base on the log and when it crashes, it freezes and then shows the pink screen and then restart the computer. Cant say it's a Big Sur's bug cause I don't have this problem on Intel Mac with Big Sur. Something is not right.
Same here, I get that CMVServer Crash each day sine I got my Mac mini now (3 days ago)
Any solution ? Is Apple aware of it ?
This happens here when I use Mail and Safari even without any screensaver

I submitted a tickets and had a chat with apple.

A lot of people having a crash issue and now, I realize it's CVMserver crash. I have no idea what's going on.
In your case, does the OS crash? Or it’s just the CVM Server? (For me it’s only the process.)
Im using M1 Mac mini but it crashes without any reason. It shows either green or pink screen before it crashes.
I've contacted them, they offered me a replacement just because it's a new one. Unfortunately, I had to refuse it because of my lessons.

Nope the crash still comes at random times.
I hand over my M1 Mac mini today for investigate this issue. I hope they find something.
Somone on Facebook, who is using teh 11.3 beta, told me that it has been fixed.
Hum - will await that and see.
