Ringing on Silent

It sounds as if the Mute switch is not functioning correctly. Use the Contact Support link at the top of the page here to contact Apple Support to have the device examined by Apple.

Have any Backups?

Restore your iPhone from Backup you made prior to this. It would be restorable through iCloud or a computer.

Important - Backup First:

To Update your iPhone:

Use a the iPhone itself or a computer (a Mac or a PC even) to Update it. There are two important steps: Backup first then Update.

1. Backup First: Make a backup of your device using iCloud or your computer. That way you can have something to restore your iPhone from, should anything go wrong with the update installation.

2. Then, Update Using Links:

Disable Cellular when updating on the iPhone (to avoid disconnection from Apple's Server)

• From a Mac: Update Software on iOS Devices in iTunes on Mac - Apple Support
• From a PC: Update Software on iOS and iPadOS Devices in iTunes on PC - Apple Support
