Speed Cameras in Maps Navigation sometimes do not alert until after you've passed the camera

When using Apple Maps navigation I sometimes do not get the speed camera alert until after I have already passed the camera. It's not a huge issue as I do not generally speed but it is rather annoying and a waste of the feature if it doesn't alert until after passing the camera.

Does anybody else experience this?

Also, does anybody know if there are any rumours of a speedo being added to maps in 14.5? Or how to get one in maps without jailbreaking?

For the first issue

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

To report an issue, or edit your home or work address, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Info button , in the upper-right corner.
  2. Tap Report an Issue.

  3. Choose the issue and follow the onscreen instructions.

To add a missing place, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Info button , in the upper-right corner.
  2. Tap Add a Missing Place.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.

To allow Apple to contact you with questions about a reported issue on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Maps, scroll to the bottom of the screen and turn on Follow up by Email. Maps uses the email address on your Apple ID account.

As for 'rumors" if someone is using beat iOS14.5 the would be violating the terms of use and non-disclosure agreement so that part will go unanswered until 14.5 is released to the public. One should not look at the map while actively drive to see a speedometer. It is dangerous.
