Printer offline, Not reading on MacBook Pro Hey guys I have a Pixma ix6820 and recently been having trouble connecting to my laptop through usb. Ever since I updated my laptop it no longer reads my printer. It just says "offline". Ive re downloaded the drivers and still nothing works. Been at it for about a 2 weeks now with no results. I would really appreciate some help. I use my printer for my small business, without it I'm lost. Please help :(

macbook pro big sur says printer is offline My Macbook Pro M1, Big Sur 11.6, thinks my Canon inkjet printer is offline. It was working normally for a long time. I'm not aware of changing anything to cause it (no OS update, etc.) When I couldn't get it back online, I reset the printing system. After some time (and an uncertain sequence of events), the printer shows up in the printer list - but it is still offline. Meanwhile, I can print from my wife's Macbook Pro (Intel) as well as my iPhone and iPad. Clearly the issue is with my Mac. Any suggestions? Thank you, Ken K

don't know the model of the printer but assuming you do have the full printer driver installed then go to the printer/scanner pane and select the options tab to get ti utilities of that printer. From there you can troublesome that problem. If you selected AirPrint when you first set up the printer driver then you don't have the latest printer driver and you will not have the utility.
