Put hard disks to sleep when possible

Hi! I recently bought a new MacBook Pro M1. I tried to set the battery settings but there is not the choice for "Put hard disks to sleep when possible", differently from my previous MacBook Pro 2012 and from what I've seen online it should be there. Is it normal?

actually, that option does indeed exist on macs with SSDs. my iMac is a 100% flash storage model from 2019.


however, there is no need to select it because, as you said, there's no moving parts. choosing it won't save electricity or the drive itself. :)
