USB Mic interface is now disconnected, how do I re-connect it?

I have a USB connected mic interface (Yamaha AG03) that was working just fine yesterday. Now I'm getting a message that it was disconnected. There are no external drivers to download, they are built into the Mac IOS. (Mohave) How do I reconnect it? I've tried turning it off, unplugging USB cable from iMac, rebooting iMac, etc. I'm out of idea's.

UPDATE:

I went to disk utility/repair and that fixed it. The computer was able to see the mic interface again. I'm good to go.
