plans for cellular watch in Australia

Hi just bought a cellular Apple watch SE but have found out that my mobile plan provider does not support the shared number concept. The only providers that do so are Vodapone, Telstra and Optus. Their plans are all way more than I need both in money and data terms. Happy to pay the $5 pm extra to have the convenience of sharing my mob no. with my watch but as a senior need a cheaper plan - any ideas? So disappointed,

We also do not know what plans your cellular provider has.

However, if your provider is an NVMO (uses one of the major carrier's network), many of the major carriers do not allow NVMO's to support the Apple Watch.

In the U.S. there are are very few NVMO's that support the Apple Watch, and they are big players, such as the cable TV companies that are also entering the cellular business, and have the money and marketing power to get their partner carrier to give them Apple Watch support.
