Downtime still letting me open app?!

I’ve recently set my daughter up with her iPhone. Set all the screen time restrictions etc but for some reason the main app she uses (Zoomerang) will still open. I’ve turned screen time off - shut the phone down - set up again - deleted the app - reinstalled etc but its still the same. Not only can she open it after the daily time limit is up she can also open it when the whole phone should be in downtime mode. Any help?

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities! We understand that a certain app is able to bypass the Downtime feature on your daughters iPhone. You've completed some great steps so far too! Complete the following to see if they help:

Check to ensure the app isn't listed in the Always Allowed area by tapping Settings > Screen Time > Always Allowed: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you're using your device to adjust the settings on her iPhone, check to ensure they're syncing up as expected.
Make sure "Block at Downtime" / "Block at End of Limit" is turned on for Downtime and App Limits settings: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Change your Screen Time passcode, just in case it was guessed: If you forgot your Screen Time passcode
