iphone 12 video stutter

Is anyone else having an issue with the 12 pro max where the video is stuttering when you take any kind of video? It doesn't matter if it's 4k or 1080p. I get serious frame loss with any kind of video recording. You can't see it on the screen but you can on recordings and you can see it if you use the lightning to HDMI adapter and watch the video on a tv or through a video capture device.
