Shutterfly won’t use my photos in a photobook February 2021

I have made Shutterfly photo books for years. They are the best quality. This time, however, while I can upload the photos, they will not stay on the page, rather leave a grey square where the photo was! Has anyone else encountered this and is there a way to fix the issue? Chat has not helped and the tech section never gets back to me! I go through Chrome not Safari as they told me years ago that Chrome works better on Shutterfly.
