I’ve found a lot of old entries for this problem. I’ve tried several Plantronics headsets and can hear everything, dictate texts , listen to audiobooks but when I call someone they tell me they can hardly hear me or don’t hear me at all . It’s obviously the phone. Any new solutions or any headsets that work?

Just to confirm, are you experiencing this behavior when using your iPhone's microphone, or your bluetooth headset microphone? Does the issue persists if you used the headphones originally came with your iPhone? Also, is this happening during normal calls(using the built-in Phone app), FaceTime calls, or calls using third-party apps?

Do you experience the same behavior when using your iPhone's built-in microphone during calls?
The best way to isolate this issue further is to test using another brand of bluetooth or wired headphones to find out if it is a problem with your iPhone or your headset. Maybe a family member or a friend has one.
In the meantime, you may try to reset, and update your bluetooth headset. You can reach out to your headset technical support for assistance.

I am experiencing this behavior when using my bluetooth headset microphone. I never received headphones when I got my iPhone. This is happening during normal calls(using the built-in Phone app). I don't use FaceTime calls, or calls using third-party apps.
I have had several Plantronics bluetooth headsets. The one I had years ago worked, then it stopped working. I bought a new one, and while I can listen to audio books , talk to SIRI and dictate texts, when I make actual phone calls while using the Plantronics bluetooth headset, the person I call cannot hear me at all or can only hear me as if I'm very very far away (even when I have the volume all the way up ) and/or I go in and out.
