Photo image filename problems

My iPhone X, running iOS 14.4, uploads photos anywhere with long (over 22 letters, numbers and dashes) and randomly generated names. It also seems to lose information, such as the date a photo was created. Also, the same photo will not be given the same filename if I upload it more than once. The names change. This is frustrating because the images no longer display in chronological order. They’re random. And if I forget what I’ve uploaded and upload the same photos I have multiple copies in different positions in the uploaded file.

How do I fix this?

The Photos app renames internally the image files with long, unique filenames.

Which system version is running on your iPhone? And how are you uploading the files? When you save a file from Photos to the Files.app and then upload from the folder, the original filename should be restored, at least it does so on my iPhone with iOS 14.4.
