cannot download movies from my library in Apple TV

my download button (the cloud with the down arrow) seems grayed out and I cannot download any of my movies to my MacBook. My device is authorized and can play the movies, but we want to download a couple in case we lose our internet.

New movies not showing up in my computer's app I have a new issue with my apple tvs not showing new movies on the computers app but they do show up on the movies app which means I can stream them but unable to access them from my mac mini. All movies up to this last weekend work fine.

Cannot watch rented movies in my library Hello! I have a 2013 16 inch Macbook Pro, all software is updated. I'm having problems watching purchased or rented library movies directly on the computer. We often download movies to watch at a site with limited Wifi. Lately, all of my rented movies do not work. They don't even play even if not downloaded. My computer is authorized to play. I tried clearing my Play History AppleTV cache (as per Apple Insider Ap 5, 2021, who noted that the program seems to be buggy), but that did not help. I can play the movies on my iPhone. I would concur there is a software issue, as noted by the user GlowCreate last year. As with GlowCreate, the movie plays on my iPhone, just not on the Macbook. If I X out of the movie on iPhone, though, and go back to the computer, it still doesn't play. Can anyone help, please? Thank you so much in advance!

Can you download from menu Account﹥Purchased? Try that.

Is you library/media folder set to a valid writable location in Preferences?
