Apps not showing up under “allowed apps”

I am trying to allow some apps on my daughters iPhone 8 under content and privacy restrictions. It only shows the basic apps that came with the phone and not the new apps we have downloaded. Therefore, I cannot toggle the green switch to allow because the apps are not showing up! I have already force quit settings and restarted the phone and it did not work.

First try rebooting the phone.

Then try searching for the app from within screen time. I find that to be the easiest way to find an app instead of searching the many categories listed.

It might be possible that you have also restricted the app already based "Allowed Apps" under content restriction in screen time.
